AllMusic Review by

Mr. Atkins Guitar Picker contains 20-minutes and change of Chet Atkins doing what he did best as a player, which is mostly sending his fingers dancing across the fret-board on a range of numbers from across the musical spectrum, from country to pop and show tunes ("You're Just in Love") to rock ("Walk Don't Run"). Actually, Irving Berlin's "You're Just in Love" is one of the more delightful surprises in Atkins' output -- a number conceived and done as a duet, it makes a killer showcase for the many different guitar voices in Atkins' output and ends up an unexpectedly great showcase for the instrument. As usual, the sound is excellent, and there's not an extra or excess note on the entire album.
