AllMusic Review by

Mother Goose Rocks! takes traditional nursery rhymes and turns them on their ears, transforming them into pop songs by fictional groups that parody current chart-toppers. 98 Sync Street's "Georgie Porgie" and Buffy Fears' "Ring Around the Rosie" send up Generation Y dance-pop, while the Pixie Picks' "Old King Cole" and Ohmya Twang's "Three Blind Mice" parody contemporary country divas. Ben Folds Laundry's "Three Little Kittens," Punch Nose's "Old Mother Hubbard," Fully Clothed Men's "Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater," and Lillith C. Merchant's "Little Boy Blue" cover nearly every facet of alternative rock, from sensitive singer/songwriters to punk-pop. A surprisingly creative and funny album, Mother Goose Rocks! is perfect for pop culture-savvy kids and parents.
