Edward Wier is a talented, Atlanta-based guitarist/composer who plays in the traditional flamenco style, which wouldn't be so remarkable if his own compositions didn't more than hold their own alongside songs by guitar legends like Carlos Santana and Albeniz. Atlanta bar staple Barry Richman drops in on Wier's "Brasil" and a beautiful cover of Santana's "Europa" to trade electric guitar licks, but there's no doubt that Wier is the real star here. A great record for flamenco lovers, specifically, and hopeless romantics in general.
