AllMusic Review by

Six rather lengthy songs from the 1977 Montreux Jazz Festival are included on this double LP which features a variety of musicians who were then under contract to Columbia. There are plenty of solos from the likes of tenors Stan Getz and Dexter Gordon, trumpeters Woody Shaw and Maynard Ferguson, flutists Bobbi Humphrey and Hubert Laws, trombonist Slide Hampton and guitarist Eric Gale. There are moments of rambling but best are Getz's feature on "Infant Eyes," "Fried Bananas" (featuring Dexter, Hampton and Shaw) and marathon versions of "Blues March" and "Andromeda."
