Changing up their style from previous outings, the Brother Kite rein in their sound on their fourth studio effort, Model Rocket. While the album still features the ebullient sounds that have become a staple of the band's arsenal, the arrangements here are simpler and less fussy, evoking the soaring simplicity of the album's namesake as it wistfully bounces along. Displaying newfound confidence and no longer content to hide behind layers of production, the Brother Kite continue to come into their own more and more with each record, and the band's fans are sure to enjoy taking this one for a spin.
