AllMusic Review by

This collection of out-takes, demos and lost tracks effectively wraps up the final loose ends for Florida Sludgecore cult favorites Cavity, who finally decided to call it a career in the year 2000; having apparently had enough of widespread critical acclaim backed by non-existent commercial returns. You really can't blame them, as listening to furiously raw, desperately scum-ridden outbursts like "Fuck Diablo," "Spine II," and "Human Abjection" feels just like riding in the band's no doubt battered and tattered touring van. Henry Rollins never had it this bad -- you would have quit years ago! Amazingly enough, however, the songs on Miscellaneous Recollections '92-'97 deliver a pretty decent, unified statement for a bunch of often poorly recorded leftovers; but only diehard Cavity fanatics (the kind who will recognize the raging "Covered Twice" as a rough precursor to Supercollider's "Set in Cinders") are likely to care at this stage of the game. May Cavity at last R.I.P.
