Undoubtedly an effort to cash in on the late-'90s swing revival, this disc is one in a series of compilations, all of which include several tracks of crucial big-band swing along with a few more square pop hits to round out the proceedings. Minnie the Moocher has the title track plus Count Basie's "Jumpin at the Woodside," Duke Ellington's "How High the Moon," and Louis Armstrong's "Tiger Rag." The (relative) downside comes with the several tracks by Glenn Miller and Charlie Barnet, more famous as pop hits than dance tunes.
