AllMusic Review by

Miguel Rios decided to celebrate his 40th career anniversary by contacting the most popular Latin rock artists to remake some of their major hits, including Spanish legend Joaquín Sabina and ex-El Ultimo de la Fila Manolo García, who joined him on "Aves de Paso" and "Insurrección." In Mexico, Spaniard Miguel Rios teamed up with Fher from Maná, El Tri, and Chilean La Ley, making new versions of "Cuando Los Angeles Lloran," "Triste Canción," and "Eternidad" and working along with Argentine Charly García and Fito Paez while covering "Yo No Quiero Volverme Tan Loco" and "Parte del Aire." Colombian Aterciopelados contributed with a revisited "Maligno" and Rosendo became a piece of this project with "Agradecido." In addition, Miguel Rios y las Estrellas del Rock Latino features three new songs: "Girar y Girar," "Al Norte de Playa Libertad," and "Corren Tiempos Perros." This record -- produced in Madrid and Coyoacán, Mexico, by Carlos Narea -- also had contributions from guitarist John Parsons and singer/keyboardist Tito Dávila.
