AllMusic Review by

A compilation of Beto Guedes hits. One of the members of Clube da Esquina, Guedes' sound is very close to the other proponents', in its electric folk-influenced songs whose lyrics deal with peace, love, friendship, and nature. Included here is his first recorded song (by Som Imaginário), "Feira Moderna" (with Fernando Brant and Lô Borges), which participated in the V FIC (1970); also included are the hits "Lumiar" (1977), "O Medo de Amar é o Medo de Ser Livre" (1978, re-recorded by Elis Regina), "O Sal da Terra" (re-recorded by Simone), and "Canção do Novo Mundo" (re-recorded by Milton Nascimento). It lacks "Luz e Mistério" (with Caetano Veloso).
