AllMusic Review by

Taken from the same concert as The Grip, this album features the distinctive altoist Arthur Blythe fairly early in his career, a year before he signed with Columbia. His sextet (which consists of trumpeter Ahmed Abdullah, cellist Abdul Wadud, tuba player Bob Stewart, drummer Steve Reid and percussionist Muhamad Abdullah) is heard on two selections (including the colorful title cut) while the nearly 18-minute "Duet for Two" is an adventurous collaboration between Blythe and cellist Wadud.
