It's always great to see that not all hip-hop isn't drenched with constant drug references, gangsta lifestyle glorification and lyrics that are all about "gettin' some." Rather, Black Anger prefer the route of spreading the word against racism, commercialism and oppression within their community. Representing the Northwest underground hip-hop scene, Black Anger have more of a down to Earth perspective on their surroundings with Maxed Out Singles, an EP which has the intentions of breaking down the barriers of labels and ignorance, as they bring up on the track "206 Mix Tapes": "We're Universal/ I don't be for with this East-West ideology is idiocy/ No Apologies." Right on.
