AllMusic Review by

Another ornately packaged double-disc mix of glitzy dance music, Mastercuts: DiscoHouse provides a very up-to-date (for late 2003) sampling of modern-day house that thrives on snatches of disco's legacy, whether sampling (the reliance upon Young & Company's "I Like What You're Doing to Me" in Loose Jointz' "Up & Down"), covering (Kenny Hawkes' version of Inner City's "Big Fun"), remixes (the Masters at Work mix of the Blackbyrds' "Mysterious Vibes"), or extreme inspiration (everything) is involved. And in a couple cases, original divas like Jocelyn Brown and Linda Clifford make appearances. As a summation of 2003 deep house, this isn't quite as thrilling or as down to earth as Kenny Dope's In the House mix for Defected, but it's still one of the better Mastercuts packages.
