Marijuana's Greatest Hits Revisited does contain pro-pot anthems like Black Sabbath's "Sweet Leaf," Bob Dylan's "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35," Cab Calloway's "Reefer Man," and Bob Marley's "Kaya," but none of those classics are by the artists who made them famous; they're performed here by the Storm Orphans, Subtle Plague, Murphy's Law, and One Drop Plus, respectively. And that's part of the problem with the collection -- while there's a generous quantity of top-notch material here, the performances can often turn out to be rather undistinguished. There are a few semi-well-known artists here in Scott McCaughey (ex-Young Fresh Fellows), Mojo Nixon (performing "I Like Marijuana"), and the New Duncan Imperials, but overall, the listen is a bit uneven.
