This entry from Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz radio series is a bit surprising for drummer Jack DeJohnette switches to piano for all but two selections and bassist Christian McBride makes the duos into trios. Also, most of the music consists of jazz standards from the 1950s, so (with the exception of DeJohnette's "Silver Hollow") there are no examples of his own more advanced compositions. However the mutual respect felt by McPartland and DeJohnette is obvious and some of the verbal conversations are quite interesting; in addition the two pianos work together quite well.
