For this edition of Marian McPartland's radio show Piano Jazz, she welcomes Dave McKenna. The mutual respect they feel toward each other is obvious. The music is at its best when the two pianists duet on older material ("Let's Get Away from It All" and "Struttin' with Some Barbeque") and a bit trivial when they take turns on a Stevie Wonder medley. The results overall are not essential but worth hearing once or twice.
