Manhattan Minuet features the Beau Hunks performing more Raymond Scott standards and cartoon fun. Deep listeners, especially those of the baby boom generation, will hear the classic sounds of a typical Saturday morning in the '60s. These tunes were prima fascia for all of the major Hollywood studios that produced cartoons. It often seems like Scott's tunes graced them all, but the Beau Hunks have documented some Leroy Shield compositions for King Features. The closest comparisons to this music would be Spike Jones, Leroy Anderson, and Charles Ives.
