With this album the band continued the road initiated with his previous effort Autopistas y Túneles. If that album was a great leap forward, leaving behind the Beach Boys influence for a developing Brit-pop sound, Mancha Registrada in many ways refines that breakthrough and incorporates new approaches. In "Cosas Perdidas" they mix bossa nova and pop and "Yo Sigo" is certainly a bizarre tribute to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. As a hidden track you will find a jam session were the band plays stretching the boundaries of its pop production. The album was produced by Los Pericos' guitarist Juanchi Baleiron. Hits like "Cómo Estamos Hoy" had incredible heavy rotation (plus, it was used for many TV programs and commercial spots) that didn't help to sell the band in Argentina. But it helped to get the international breakthrough. This album encapsulates nearly all of the Súper Ratones attributes: good songs and melodies, extremely well played.
