AllMusic Review by MacKenzie Wilson

Mama Mia: It's the Best of Abbacadabra is an electrifying double-disc set featuring stylish remixes of some of ABBA's biggest hits. Abbacadabra basically culls its Hi-NRG dancefloor singles for a collection; it's a fun homage to the Swedish four-piece, too. Disc one highlights favorites such as "Dancing Queen," "S.O.S.," and the vibrant new wave ambience of "The Winner Takes It All." "Summer Night City" boasts fiery techno breaks, and the funkadelic Europop of "Honey Honey" takes on a life of its own. Disc two takes on a similar tone, yet it's a bit theatrical. "Waterloo" and "Take a Chance on Me" both soar over brash rave cuts, whereas "Angel Angel" spirals into dance-pop mayhem. Pop kids would find Mama Mia: It's the Best of Abbacadabra a sweet introduction to both ABBA and dance-pop. Traditional ABBA enthusiasts might find a lot to like here, too.
