Columbia River's Malt Shop Classics collects ten songs from '50s stars like Chuck Berry, Duane Eddy and Jerry Lee Lewis. However, all of these tracks appear as inferior re-recordings or live versions (Gene Vincent's "Be Bop A Lula" sounds particularly neutered). Little Richard's "Long Tall Sally" and Eddy's "Peter Gunn Theme" don't sound too bad, but this collection is so small and has such a poor ratio of original songs to re-recorded versions that it can't be recommended.
