The Wicked Farleys' post-punk tendencies switch back and forth between the complex guitar noise of June of 44 and melodic indie rock. Focusing more on the latter, Make It It showcases a constant, midtempo arrangement featuring progressive guitars and soft-spoken vocals. Unfortunately, the Wicked Farleys often get lost in their own creativity. While their elaborate flow of structured, abrasive pop strives for originality, it winds up creating the impression that Make It It is a lot longer than it really is.
