AllMusic Review by

With this perky four-song EP, Findlay, OH's The Drama Summer deliver their first recorded salvo in a bid for pop-punk-emo relevance. Powered by the usual Green Day-derived catchy guitar crunch, intermingled with supple melodic lines and those soul-baring teenage love lyrics that Hawthorne Heights have built their 401Ks upon, tracks like "Starting Over," "Don't Go," and "Thunder Bay" are tailor-made to win over the hearts of thousands of pre-pubescent girls. And hey, more power to the Drama Summer for it; theirs will be the last laugh so long as they observe intrastate minimum age laws. Anyway, rounding out these contents, opening gambit "We Make Rejection Look Beautiful" offers slightly more musical heft behind its usual puppy love saga, and regardless of their maturity, there's certainly no denying the group's foot-tapping, hum-inducing talents. [The Make a Move EP also contains multimedia elements like live video footage, band interviews, and desktop themes.]
