Both sides of Robert Winters & Fall's three Buddah Records singles plus several cuts from that 1980-1981 era make up this worthy CD. His most successful recording, "Magic Man," is as arresting as ever and is still a quiet storm favorite. The funky "One More Year" had chart potential as well, but Buddah buried it on the back of "Magic Man." Producers Winters, Jimmy George, Rene Hall, and Ray Dewey crafted these ballads and mid- and uptempo songs -- bolstered by Gene Page's timeless arrangements -- and each brought something special to the table.
