This competent outing by Celtic veterans Patrick Street is a fine example of technical musicianship, but a cold example of artistry. Even the double jigs on this collection lack the fire to even make you tap your foot. Perhaps worse are the staid readings of heartbreaking ballads like "Her Mantle So Green." If you want the wizardry of master musicians and the heart of Ireland you might try Tommy Makem or one of the Chieftains' early albums over this limp effort.
