M Is... is essential for its inclusion of "Wedding Song No. 3," a David Pajo creation upon which an entire remix album was later based. More rousing than most songs under the Aerial M moniker, the track's contrapuntal guitar lines regularly meet in the center for some old-fashioned major-key riffing. In line with Pajo's attention to dynamic, the song retreats into softer, percussion-less territory before reprising the main section again. Quite excellent. "Mountains Have Ears" is a bit out of left-field, a kitchen-sink melange of flute samples and finger-picked guitars on top of gurgling electronic beats.
