Pop/rock artists the Jets put together a lovely collection of ear candy with some compelling lyrics on this release. A family of musicians, the Jets enjoyed moderate success in the pop arena in the 1990s, but they are perhaps best known in Latter-day Saint circles. They deserve wide-spread success though, for their smooth sound, excellent blend of songwriting, musical talents, and just plain enjoyable music. The album is predominately an inspirational album in terms of lyrics, but there's a definite pop feel to most of the tracks. Two songs are appropriate for the dancefloor without inspiring contortionist dance moves: "Love People" and "Love Is the Answer." Member LeRoy Wolfgramm penned several tunes and the group also performs several pieces written by other LDS songwriters, including Staci Peters, Kenneth Cope, and James Marsden. While there's nothing earthshaking in terms of musical boundaries pushed, the album is recommended for its ease on the ears and soul.
