AllMusic Review by

English post-punk legends Killing Joke have a long catalogue of challenging, cathartic music behind them, with excursions into styles ranging from punk to new wave to punishing industrial metal. Though they’ve long flown under the radar in America, famous fans such as Dave Grohl and Metallica have endorsed this band's unique portrayal of atomic age angst. LOVE LIKE BLOOD is yet another missing piece of the band’s story that arrives as part of a wave of reissues in the wake of a critical reassessment. Recorded in 1985, at the height of Killing Joke’s artistic and commercial powers, LOVE LIKE BLOOD chronicles the band performing live in Germany. The long-unavailable album has been carefully remastered and adds two bonus live tracks from a London show on the same tour. Classic songs like “Eighties” and “Requiem” show the band in fine, ferocious form.
