The Looking Back series compiles many of the best songs ever released on Looking Good Records, a subsidiary of LTJ Bukem's Good Looking Records. Like that label, Looking Good features the melodic side of drum'n'bass with a sizable old-school sound, meaning that the tracks incorporate quite a bit of jazz, funk, and fusion. The tracks compiled on the Looking Back collections were previously released on vinyl; therefore, these collections are convenient for listeners interested in the music yet not wanting to invest in numerous vinyl EPs often available only for import prices. Furthermore, the majority of the tracks have never before been available on CD. Some of the featured tracks on the fourth volume in the series include Nu-Moon's "View of Life," J-Laze's "Dreamz," Pariah's "Skyline," and Intersperse's "Equanimity," in addition to several other tracks. Much like the Points in Time best-of series released by Good Looking, since each volume in the Looking Back series is essentially a best-of, they're all similarly excellent, compiling only the label's best recordings.
