The sum doesn't equal the talents of the individuals involved here. Bunny Sigler, at the time, was a hot songwriter with Philadelphia International Records; and Barbara Mason, who had built a reputation with '60s classics like "Yes I'm Ready" and "Oh How It Hurts," had recently scored with "Give Me Your Love." Sigler and Mason were both from Philadelphia and knew each other well -- a match made in heaven, right? Not quite. Sigler produced these nine songs, but Bugs Bunny could have done just as well. Not even Sigler's protégés, Instant Funk, can save the album. But most of the blame must fall on Curtis Mayfield and the brain trust at Curtom Records for even releasing this.
