A 21-year-old orphan, Antonio Cortés became famous as the winner of the first edition of the hugely popular TV show Se Llama Copla (a sort of American Idol for flamenco singers). Lo Que a Mí Me Está Pasando is his debut album, and it sets Cortés' passionate voice against piano and string arrangements in a recital of sentimental copla standards such as "Carcelero," "Mi Niña Lola," and "Yo No Sé Querer." Lo Que a Mí Me Está Pasando was produced by Chico Valdivia (Diana Navarro, Rocío Jurado), and became a big seller in Spain.
