Live on the Old Grey Whistle Test contains two live television concerts, one recorded in 1975 the other in 1981, on one compact disc. Although six years separate the two session, they actually have their fair share of simliarities -- namely, both are progressive blues-rock, with long improvised sections that occasionally meander. However, a few of Bruce's solo songs sound more energetic and challenging in this setting than they do on the studio albums, which may be enough reason for hardcore fans to seek this disc out.
