The first in a three-volume series spotlighting the great electric bassist Jaco Pastorius heading his Punk Jazz combo through fusion, jazz-rock, and even some blues and mainstream sets. This band provided Pastorius an outlet for all his musical loves, among them Caribbean, and also had enough instruments, colors, and textures to let him interact with the rhythm section sometimes, then take the spotlight himself on other occasions.
