AllMusic Review by

Tito Paris, a Cape Verdean singer and guitarist, shows his explosive energy in this set recorded live at Club B. Leza. His guitar work and that of Ze Antonio is crisp and florid without being overdone. The mix of acoustic and electric guitar provides a pleasant textural change. The horn players stretch out, too, providing a solid wall of brass throughout the album. The percussion and drums pop continually and work some fiery grooves up and down the line. Some of the song material is from Danca Ma Mi Criola and Graca de Tchega. Others are traditional Cape Verdean songs like "Sodade." From the outset of the album, one senses the crowd's loyalty and excitement. The recording quality is excellent and the band cooks relentlessly. Those seeking a live album with earthy vocals, exquisitely executed guitar solos, tight horns, and incendiary percussion need look no further. Cape Verdean live music at its best. Highly recommended.
