This two-song single (apparently intended as a preview for an upcoming full-length release) was recorded during a 1999 show at Paycheck's Lounge in Hamtramck, MI (OK, not really Detroit, but close enough for most folks), with all four members of the original Real Kids lineup on board. The band's stripped-back and revved-up sound is pretty much the way it was on their classic late-'70s sides, and if the recording could stand to have a bit more body, it's clear and bright and the mix lets Billy Borgioli and John Felice's guitars talk good and loud. The songs are solid (one from a previous album, one new to this single), the band is in good form, and Felice can still belt it out like teenager with too much attitude. Fun stuff that'll please fans of the band. So where's the album?
