A peculiar re-packaging of The Isleys Live -- which was originally released on vinyl in 1973 and then reissued on CD in 1996 -- Live Hits is a release on Rhino's budget-line Flashback division. Like all other Flashback releases, the disc is kept to ten tracks, meaning that it does not include all the material featured on the source release. The original release is far more preferable, not only because it is more thorough, but also because it contains the original (and far superior) artwork. Needless to say, the average Isleys collector who already has The Isleys Live will likely feel ripped off -- apart from publishing and copyright dates, there is nothing on the package that indicates the material was released previously.
