Remastered and reissued in 2006, this two-disc Fall concert document is part of a massive live reissue campaign focusing on the Fall in what is arguably the band's true element. The U.K. post-punk band, led by the ever-surly frontman Mark E. Smith, rumbles through many classic tunes during a set recorded in Germany in 1981, including the gleefully quirky "How I Wrote Elastic Man," the chaotic "Prole Art Threat," and the shuffling "Lie Dream of a Casino Soul." And at only 16 tracks spread out over two discs, this performance also sheds light on the Fall's brilliant tendency to stretch a pop song to infinity via Smith's famous three Rs--repetition, repetition, repetition.
