AllMusic Review by

Doc Cheatham was a relative youngster when he recorded this set; just 76 with 15 more years to go. Released for the first time in 2000, the spirited performance teams the great trumpeter with pianist James Dapogny, bassist Dan Jordan, and drummer Richard "Pistol" Allen during a performance in Canada. Cheatham enjoys himself playing and occasionally singing on ten standards including "Struttin' With Some Barbeque," "Gee Baby, Ain't I Good to You," "I Double Dare You," and even "Hello Dolly." Cheatham sounds typically enthusiastic and his solos are quite strong.
