AllMusic Review by

Far and away the best unreleased Doors material out there, this is one of the highest fidelity live tapes of the era of any rock act, capturing the Doors just before "Light My Fire" made them superstars. More than any of their officially sanctioned live recordings, this showcases the Doors as a hard-working club unit, with a slightly raw feel not present on any other document. Morrison and the band are in top form on a selection of off-the-beaten tracks from their first albums, including "My Eyes Have Seen You," "Summer's Almost Gone," "Break on Through," and "People Are Strange." The blues/R&B covers are less compelling, but interesting in that several were never officially released by the group, including "Money," "I'm a King Bee," and "Summertime."
