AllMusic Review by

Late in his career, Ben Webster recorded a series of inspired and memorable concerts at the famed Jazzhus in Copenhagen, remarkable not only because of Webster's unmistakable tone and melodic sensitivity, but also because of the rhythm section that backed him up on these dates. Kenny Drew's flawless bebop solos offer something exciting on each tune, drummer Alex Riel's four bar breaks are consistently imaginative, and Nils Henning Orsted-Pederson's plump sound perfectly fleshes out the music.

Webster himself is at his best on ballads such as "I Can't Get Started," "Stormy Weather," "Teach Me Tonight," and the luscious Jerome Kern classic, "Yesterdays." This CD also features more uptempo tunes, such as "Perdido," and Webster's common set closer, the burning "Set Call (The Theme)."
