AllMusic Review by

A major disappointment. On the cover, this LP looks like a promising sextet session with Charlie Parker, trumpeter Red Rodney, and trombonist J.J. Johnson, but whoever recorded these bootlegs shut off their machine whenever Bird was finished soloing, cutting off Rodney and Johnson after a few notes and virtualy ruining the performances. In addition, the recording quality is pretty shaky and Bird really doesn't play anything all that new. This should not have been released.
