Continuing on with their year-by-year documentation of the Wedding Present's live sound, David Gedge's Scopitones label compiles two shows from late in the year on Live 1992. It shows the band in fine form, coming off the triumphant Seamonsters album from the previous year and nearing the end of their plan in 1992 to release a single a month. They were also near the end of a long tour, so they couldn't help but sound very tight and together. The songs are a nice mix of singles and album tracks both recent and older, that showcase the dramatic tension and laser-point focus the band were playing with at this time. Though the sound isn't always perfect, especially the set from the Hague captured on the first disc, the passion comes through loud and clear, making this an essential pickup for anyone who still loves early-'90s Weddoes.
