AllMusic Review by

Let's Talk About Love collects late '80s and early '90s dub, hip-hop, and R&B from the likes of Omar, Timmy Thomas, Bomb the Bass, and Beats International. As with almost any compilation, it's a mixed bag, offering as many seminal tracks as it does fair-to-middling ones. Massive Attack's "Unfinished Sympathy (Nellee Hooper 7" Mix)," Monie Love's "It's a Shame (My Sister)," and A Tribe Called Quest's "Can I Kick It?" are examples of the former, while M.C. Hammer's "Have You Seen Her" is chief among the latter. De La Soul's "Ring Ring Ring (Ha Ha Hey) (Party Line Edit)" and LL Cool J's "I Need Love" help make Let's Talk About Love an entertaining, if scattershot, collection.
