This okay sampler features the Les Brown Orchestra (a superior dance band that sometimes played jazz) in a supporting role behind some of their vocalists of the 1940s. Easily the best-known is Doris Day whose "Sentimental Journey" is a classic. She is also featured on two other songs while Lucy Ann Polk ("Rock Me to Sleep") nails down second place. The other singers (who vary in quality and relevance) include the mildly humorous Butch Stone, Betty Bonney, Ralph Young, Gordon Drake, Jack Haskell, Eileen Wilson and Ray Kellogg. For collectors only.
