Released in 2007, Les 50 Plus Belles Chansons from Serge Lama is three-CD retrospective of the career of one of the most prolific and successful French songwriters of his generation. Alongside his early-'60s singles "Les Ballons Rouges," "D'Aventures en Aventures" and "Le Temps de La Rengaine," and classic '70s hits "Les Petite Femmes de Pigalle," "Chez Moi," and "Femme Femme Femme," it also includes his 1971 Eurovision Song Contest entry "Un Jardin Sur la Terre," his adaptation of the Kinks' "Apeman" ("Superman"), and tributes to Edith Piaf, his family, and soldiers who fought in the Algerian War of Independence.
