At this point in the Temptations' career, there are as many (if not more) greatest-hits compilations and anthologies available than there are original releases. This has led to confusion and an unnecessary saturation of releases to choose from. Legends definitely offers up the goods over its 16 tracks, including some of their most famous works like "Ain't Too Proud to Beg," "Papa Was a Rolling Stone," and "(I Know) I'm Losing You" as well as fan favorites from the '70s and early '80s. However, this is by no means definitive, especially with the glaring omission of their most well-known hit, "My Girl." Die-hard fans will already own most -- if not all -- of this material. Casual listeners would be better served with something like the 20th Century Masters compilation, which can be found for roughly the same cost.
