AllMusic Review by

A sequel to the 2010 album where Albert Hammond revisited songs from his catalog, sometimes with the assistance of guests, Legend, Vol. 2 follows the same blueprint as its predecessor, only this time the results are somewhat diminished. First off, all the big hits appeared on the 2010 LP, secondly, all the big stars showed up there, too, so this winds up as something of the leftovers, with "I Don't Wanna Live Without Your Love" -- a song Chicago made into a smash -- being the best-known song here. The production is clean but a little bare-bones, sounding a bit like either an expensive home job or something done on the fly in a bigger studio, and Hammond's voice can be ever so slightly ragged. For longtime fans, there may be a patina of nostalgia but for others, this doesn't quite live up to its Legend.
