Fonovisa's Las No. 1 features a dozen chart-topping banda, norteño and conjunto hits, including Los Tigres Del Norte's "De Paisano a Paisano," Los Huracanes Del Norte's "Doble Fondo Carga Pesada," Conjunto Primavera's "Morir de Amor," and La Banda el Recodo's "Lo Mejor de Mi Vida." The collection offers a good mix of ballads, and more upbeat numbers, with Los Angeles de Charly's "Un Sueño," Pepe Aguilar's "Perdoname," and Joan Sebastían's "Secreto De Amor" representing the former, and Banda La Costeña's "Una Aventura" and Pancho Barraza's "Pero la Recuerdo" reflecting the latter. Though Fonovisa's collections tend to repeat tracks from album to album, Las No. 1 still features enough quality material to make it worthwhile to fans of contemporary Latin pop.
