La Voix d'Un Ange was the follow-up studio effort to the wildly successful debut of the young pop star Grégory Lemarchal, whose career was launched after winning the debut season of France's Star Academy television program, but which was cut short when he passed away just before his 24th birthday. He never saw the album's release: it was all but mixed and mastered before his death. The set was preceded by the hit single "Même Si (What You're Made Of)."
