From the opening fiddle on "La Vie Marron" to the closing strains of "Boogaloo, " it is apparent you have entered the bayou country of Louisiana. This is Cajun music through and through, but this band puts a unique twist on the music with the addition of piano to the traditional mix of instruments and their own refreshing style, without losing any of the integrity of the Cajun tradition. It brings through on the disc all the sounds and smells of the back-in-the-woods, friendly neighborhood honky tonk. The band is tight and strong throughout, no matter what spins and whirls they take off on, and the disc contains no throwaways at all. Five of the eleven songs were written by the group; humorous highlights include "Fido Dixieland" and "Loup Garou Mange Pas Mes Enfants" ("werewolf don't eat my children"). Go out and get this one now.
