The fourth Enja release from Conexion Latina, a fine Afro-Cuban jazz/salsa band based in Europe, is the group's weakest. All nine songs emphasize singing (with Anthony Martinez and Javier Plaza sharing lead vocals) and, although the ensembles have their heated moments, it is frustrating how little solo space there is for the individual players, including trombonist/leader Rudi Fuesers and the four other horn players. Get Mambo 2000 (the group's previous release) instead.
