This compilation from Phoenix-area adult alternative outlet KZON gathers acoustic tracks from a cross-section of their play list. As maudlin as his "I'll Be" is, Edwin McCain sings circles around Smash Mouth and their "Walkin' on the Sun," which translates badly to the unplugged format. Sarah McLachlan makes some deft changes to the melody of "Building a Mystery," while the acoustic version of Marcy Playground's "Sex and Candy" sounds remarkably similar to the original. Our Lady Peace's "Clumsy" is another highlight, if only because Raine Maida sounds even more like an in-tune Billy Corgan in the acoustic setting. Numbers from lesser-known types like Black Lab and Mary Me Jane fill out the set.
